浅议自媒体视域下高校学生管理工作创新思考

近年来,随着网络技术的飞速发展和移动互联工具在大学生中的迅速普及,"无网不在"、"每日必网"迅速成为90后大学生基本的生活方式,学生管理工作受到更加严峻的挑战。本文通过对自媒体平台工具差异化比较研究,结合高校的具体情况,提出了运用自媒体工具推进学生管理工作创新的具体举措。     

构建高校大学生党员教育新模式探索

为进一步提升高校党建实效,高校大学生党员教育工作亟待创新型机制,笔者以高校志愿工作为突破口,通过分析志愿工作之现状,探索其和学生党员教育工作的联动机制,旨在为当前学生党员教育工作注入新的生机和活力。     

浅析如何做好大三学生辅导员

高校辅导员伴随学生生活的各个阶段,既是高校思想工作的骨干力量,又是大学生健康成长的指导者和引路人。本文通过论述大三学生个人发展分化突出、专业发展差异明显以及心理脆弱等特点,指出为了更好地开展学生工作,为了学生健康成长,大三辅导员老师应该具有奉献精神,关爱学生;应该严于律己,保持积极向上的心态;同时应该与时俱进,培养学生核心价值取向。     

LearnSmart,adaptive teaching,and student learning effectiveness: An empirical investigation

Facing the growing number of digital natives entering the classroom, business professors look for innovative ways to enhance the student learning experience. The authors focus on the online interactive learning tool LearnSmart (McGraw-Hill, New York, NY), and examine its impact on student learning effectiveness by testing the direct and indirect relationships among perceived competence, perceived challenge, instructors, perceived value, and satisfaction with LearnSmart. Constructionism served as the theoretical foundation for this study. About 215 students at a public university in the United States took the survey and 197 valid responses were received. Regression analysis results showed that the use of LearnSmart improved students' perceived competency, thus increasing their perceived value of using LearnSmart, as well as their satisfaction with LearnSmart. Perceived value was also found to mediate the impact of perceived competency on satisfaction with LearnSmart, and the instructor played a significant role in facilitating and improving student learning. Perceived challenge impacted student's perceived value of using LearnSmart, but it did not influence satisfaction with LearnSmart.     

全面从严治党视野下的暂缓就业学生党员管理研究

暂缓就业党员管理工作是高校学生党建工作中的重要内容,全面从严治党对暂缓就业党员管理提出了新的要求.在新时期,暂缓就业党员呈现出量少质优等新特点,高校党组织可以通过建立专兼结合的暂缓就业党员管理干部队伍、做好暂缓就业党员的分类管理和教育引导、建立有关管理工作制度、促进暂缓就业党员发挥先锋模范作用等具体措施以实现从细从严的管理目标.     

A typology of students based on academic entitlement

Two hundred ninety-three university business students were surveyed using an academic entitlement (AE) scale updated to include new technologies. Using factor analysis, three components of AE were identified: grade entitlement, behavioral entitlement, and service entitlement. A k-means clustering procedure was then applied to identify four groups based on the relative strength of the AE components: the model student, under the radar, instructor as servant, and the privileged. These groups were further characterized by additional demographic (i.e., parental income) and classroom variables (i.e., instructor response times). Findings can help business educators gain better insight into the AE construct and devise more effective instructional strategies.     

Curriculum assessment through a capstone course: a case study in hospitality and tourism programs

The purpose of this study was to develop a systematic process that other educational institutions and programs could follow to establish a consistent and accurate evaluation method for a capstone course. Hospitality industry professionals and hospitality management faculty were interviewed through focus-group discussions, and a post-focus-group survey was conducted to determine a weighted percentage for each of the nine determined content domains. A test blueprint for a hospitality management capstone course was developed to measure programmatic student learning outcomes based on the weighted domains determined through this study. The results provide a usable instrument for hospitality and tourism management programs to enhance their current assessment methodology.
